Softwood - Yellow Pine:

General description: The heartwood color varies from pale straw to light reddish-brown. Although not
very resinous, resin ducts appear on longitudinal surfaces as fine brown lines. It has wild grain patterns
with conspicuous growth rings.

Working Properties: The wood works easily with hand or power tools and has very little dulling effect on
the cutters. It nails and screws well.

Uses: The species produces the most valuable softwood in North America. It is widely used in general
carpentry for residential and commercial construction.
