General description: The wood is creamy-white with a pink tinge at the sapwood running into light pink-brown heartwood. It is mostly very straight grained, but occasionally spiral grain is present. The texture is
medium and even, depending upon the growth rate.

Working Properties: The wood works easily with hand and machine tools with little dulling effect on
cutters. It finishes easily, takes nails and screws well, stains readily and can have excellent results with
various finishing treatments.

Uses: Widely used in general construction, box making and interior and exterior joinery.
