Gates Steel Entry Systems start with an
Elixir 24-gauge steel door. The panels are
injected with Polyurethane Foam giving
them additional strength and an R-Value of
15.5. For extra durability the doors are
then finished off with real wood stiles &
rails. Then we install the doors in one of
our primed pre-hung frames with
compression weather-stripping and a
synthetic sill. Now you’ve got a unit
that’s ready to stand up to the harshest
climates.
Fiberglass units are built in much the
same way as steel but fiberglass provides
the genuine look and feel of a real wood
door with none of the performance problems
associated with natural wood products.
Fiberglass doors resist nicks, dents and
construction site abuse better than wood
and steel doors as well.
