Gates is a family-owned custom millwork company located in beautiful Memphis, Tennessee since 1920. We specialize in all types of stock and custom mantels and wood products. Gates Lumber Company has been located in mid-town Memphis, Tennessee for over 80 years.  Founded by P.A. Gates in 1920, Gates was purchased by North Memphis Lumber in 1955.  George Buzard, who was employed by North Memphis, bought the company in 1985.  A family business, his son Bobby is active in sales and operations; daughter Ginny Nabors is comptroller and brother Jack is in charge of personnel and purchasing.
